Terms of use

DraftThis is a working draft written alongside the software. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Review it with counsel before operating this service publicly.

01What this service is

This is an informational research service. You describe a problem; the service reads it into a structured brief, queries public sources, and returns a document setting out options, an architecture, compliance issues for the jurisdictions you named, cost ranges and the evidence behind each factual statement.

The output is research to inform your own decision. It is not a procurement decision, a security assessment, a certification, or an audit, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind.

02Not legal, financial or professional advice

Structured issue-spotting to support your own review — not legal advice. Verify against the cited primary sources and your counsel.

The same applies to everything else the service produces. Cost ranges are estimates with their inputs shown, not quotations. Hardware figures are calculated from stated assumptions, not benchmarks. Difficulty and risk gradings are our assessment. Where a statement is our interpretation rather than a verified fact, it is labelled as such on the page.

03No warranty

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. In particular, we do not warrant that an answer is complete, that a source was reachable when you asked, that a third party’s published terms have not changed since we retrieved them, or that a recommendation is suitable for your circumstances.

Answers carry their own limits: the date each document was retrieved, which sources failed, and what could not be verified. Read those before relying on anything. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from a decision taken on the strength of an answer.

04Contributions

When you submit a contribution — a correction, a source, an alternative, a deployment report, a question or a challenge to an assessment — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish it on this site, to edit it for length and accuracy, and to incorporate it into the knowledge graph, with attribution to your account name where it is displayed. You keep ownership of what you wrote.

Submit only material you are entitled to submit. Do not paste confidential documents, personal data about other people, or text you do not have the right to license. A contribution is reviewed before it changes anything, and a reviewer may decline it without giving a reason.

05Accounts and acceptable use

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you believe they have been used by somebody else. You may delete your account from your account page.

Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the site in bulk, or use it to generate material that misrepresents what a source says. Public write endpoints are rate-limited; persistent abuse ends in a block.

06Third-party sources and links

Answers quote and link to material published by other people — legislation portals, regulators, vendors, repositories and directories. Those sources are governed by their own terms, and we make no representation about them. A quotation is stored so you can check what we read; the authoritative version is always the one at the source.

Every source we query is listed at /sources, with how it is reached and what its terms permit.

07Commercial engagements

An enquiry about a deployment sprint or an engineer is a description of a problem, not a contract. Any engagement that follows is agreed separately in writing, and these terms do not govern it.

Where a recommended engineer or vendor has a commercial relationship with this platform, that is disclosed next to the recommendation. Ranking never reads commercial data.

08Changes to these terms

These terms will change as the service does, and they are expected to change substantially once reviewed by counsel. Continued use after a change means you accept the current version.

How we handle what you send us is described in the privacy notice.
